This past weekend, my boyfriend and I had a staycation at the newest hotel in West Midtown, the Bellyard!
First off, the location of the Bellyard is perfect! It is located in West Midtown at the Interlock which is a booming part of town! Most new establishments have opened in West Midtown recently, and there are plans for much more to open in the next year! The Bellyard is walking distance to tons of my favorite restaurants and things to do.
Our room was stocked with snacks and a mini bar, as well as a smart TV so we could watch Netflix and Hulu! The room also had a bench by the window which had a panoramic skyline view of the city. We couldn’t have asked for a better set up!
The Bellyard is a boutique hotel and it was beautifully decorated! The lobby is located above the street level and upon entering, you will notice that the lobby consists of the Draw Bar (an indoor and outdoor bar), as well as a garden patio behind the check in desk! The garden patio was one of my favorite spots to hang out. You can grab a drink from Draw Bar, or a coffee from St. Germain and bring it to the patio to get some fresh air and relax. The patio is outdoors and equipped with plenty of fans so the temperature is perfect!
Draw Bar is a beautiful bar located in the lobby of the Bellyard. It is first come, first serve and available everyone – you don’t have to be a guest to enjoy Draw Bar! The indoor portion includes TVs, lots of trendy seating options and food & drinks! The outdoor portion has an amazing skyline view of the city, making it the perfect backdrop for happy hour and/or after dinner drinks! I ordered the “When Life Gives You Lemons…” cocktail and it was super refreshing! Draw Bar is also open for breakfast, brunch and dinner.
The Bellyard hotel also has a St. Germain located around the corner of the lobby as well as the full St. Germain location just down the stairs from the lobby! You don’t even have to leave the hotel to get these amazing french pastries and coffee!
PuttShack and Velvet Taco are also located right outside of the hotel in the same Interlock complex! Westside provisions is a quick 2 minute walk, so you can get your Five Daughters and Brash Coffee fix in the morning or Forza Storico and Jeni’s Ice Creams for dinner/dessert!
Overall, I recommend staying at the Bellyard for a staycation! After this past year, I have spent more time in my home than ever, so the change of scenery and staying at this beautiful hotel that is walking distance to some of the hottest spots in Atlanta, was so refreshing and needed!
